Masterbatch – Granule dispersions

Colour Masterbatch

Colour masterbatches are dispersions of pigments in granular form and represent a universal, convenient and effective coloring system in order to obtain high-quality customised solutions in the plastics industry.

Using masterbatches, which feature a high concentration of pigments, manufacturers are able to maintain production flexibility and reduce costs, while meeting the needs of end users.

Colour masterbatches can be used in all processing fields, and can be formulated studying the characteristics of the application for which they are intended and the requirements of intensity, opacity and color coverage required.

MG Serie: micro-granules

One of the latest development of our cmpany is the MG series: masterbatches characterized by minimum grain size, which guarantees optimal homogenization and coloring performance.

Micro-granules, which size is included between 0.8 and 1.2 mm, thanks to their better dispersibility in the matrix, enable to achieve excellent results on all systems.

Customisable formulations

Our mission is to support the customer and provide the product suitable for every need. This is why each of our masterbatches is developed according to the needs of individual customers.
In addition to the matching the colour tone, which is obtained by our colour-service, we give the chance to improve physical and mechanical properties of the product adding specific agents such as antioxidants, anti-UV additives, etc. in the formulation.

Features

Compared to traditional undispersed powder pigments, the use of colour masterbatch allows a clean and ordered storage without causing a dirty and messy working space.
Moreover, operators can easily control the amount of used masterbatch, minimising dosage errors.

Masterbatch, due to their granule physical form, cause a minimal amount of dust during production processes, helping manufacturers to reduce contamination problems and to improve overall cleanliness of their plants.

Moreover, being dust-free they are safer for health of workers and consumers compared to traditional undispersed pigments powders.

Using masterbatch, manufacturers can more easily control the appearance of their products.
In fact, in addition to enhancing the dipersion of pigments to the optimal level, masterbatch improves color consistency, allowing manufacturers to easily control and manage the opacity and transparency of final products.

Masterbatch can be customised in order to meet specific chriteria requested by customers. In addition to pigments, formulation can be enriched using additives to improve properties of the final articles.
These additives, such as anti-UV, anti-blocking, antioxidants, optical brighteners, etc. elevate the quality of final products while their price is reduced and more attractive to the customers.
